A surround sound installation at the Royal Northern College of Music’s Studio 8, created for the 2023 Made In Manchester festival in collaboration with other students and multidisciplinary artist and curator Mark Fell. 36 undulating tones, created using FM synthsis, were each projected from one of the 36 speakers embedded in Studio 8’s walls and ceiling. A speaker in the centre of the room played randomised recordings of wind instruments, garbled via extreme electronic pitch shifting and harmonisation.
